I am a military spouse and the mom of two active little boys, ages 6 and 3. We love to throw parties, create DIY projects and crafts (for kids and for adults), decorate the home, cook deliciously creative meals, do educational activities, and share it all on my website for others to enjoy. As a military family, I try to add that spin to a lot of my posts as well. One of my most popular post is my deployment resources post, so a lot of my traffic is military-affiliated.

Swipe to see what happens when you turn off the lights! 🌌 [Ad] . This glow-in-the-dark shrink paper from @nufunactivities is so much fun! 🛰 We created a super cool solar system mobile and used it for our homeschool lessons on studying the planets and our solar system! 🌠 You can also turn them into keychain, zipper pulls, or necklaces, because #scienceiscool 😎 . ☄ Decorate your classroom or bedroom! . Print this for yourself (it's a coloring page too!). 🌍 Find the free download and mobile tutorial at the link in my profile or search artscrackers.com for "solar system"! 🌎
This is one of our favorite fall activities- PUMPKIN PATCH DIRT CUPS 🎃 We created the idea several years ago and have done it every year since. It's a tradition! Such a great family activity that involves the kids! 👨👩👦👦 We also have a mini craft that goes with it and you can find it all on my site! Just visit the link in my profile or search artscrackers.com for 👉"pumpkin patch pudding cups"! It's been copied many times since it went viral, but the original is extra special 🎉 you'll love it! Hopefully I'll get the kids to do a video with me soon 😉
Sometimes life can be rough. Especially as a parent (and especially, especially as a work-at-home parent). Sometimes we just need this reminder. . Be persistent. Press on. ✊ . Don't give up. Sometimes things will take a little time and effort, but keep at it and you can achieve great things. . The last few days I have found myself discouraged, both in parenting and business. Things haven't gone as well as planned and I've faced some setbacks. I can relate to how you may be feeling! But one "bad day"...even a whole "off month" will eventually end. 🙌 . Use these times to push yourself to be even better. To persist in your efforts. This will help build up strength and resilience needed in both parenting and business and life in general. . This reminder helped me and I hope it encourages you today too. 😘 . Happy weekend!
Sometimes it's frustrating not being able to finish projects for the house or catch up on cleaning🔨🛋📉, but we still always decide to spend our weekends doing family things👨👩👦👦. This weekend was fun and educational. We learned about honey bees🐝 at the #honeyfestival and the boys were able to decap honeycombs and jar their own honey😄. Some day I want honey bees for my garden ⚘

Today was a special day. 💗 My husband ranked up. 🤝 The boys were able to "tack on his stripes" by punching his arm. I expected E to hit a bit harder, but he decided to "fist bump" Daddy's arm. 👊 I had to demonstrate a small bump to S, but when it was his turn he hooked and hit as hard as he could. 💪💥 Everyone bust out laughing. 🤣 So proud of my husband! 😍 It's been a long road so far (leadership issues, but God had a better plan for us) and he's already being a great leader and example to his troops! 👣 He had the rest of the day off and we were able to have fun as a family. 👨👩👦👦 Funniest thing was turns out the ceremony was really only for him because they didn't have anyone else ranking up 😂 @artscrackers
